The quaking aspen tree is a clonal tree (it has this massive root system and just keeps growing itself into trees) and in Utah there’s a forest of these trees except it’s not a forest. It’s one tree. It’s called Pando, and it’s anywhere from 80,000 to 1,000,000 years old. Ancient.
(I actually find that whole “forest but nope actually it’s ONE TREE” concept terrifying for some reason)
